Police say a man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Commack Wednesday evening.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Indian Head Road and Kings Park Road.

Police say a car headed southbound on Indian Head Road was attempting to make a left turn onto Kings Park Road. The vehicle collided with Vincent Giovannantonio, who was operating a 2006 Triumph motorcycle northbound on Indian Head Road.

Officials say that Giovannantonio, 52, of Kings Park, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the car stayed at the scene and was not injured.
