Police: Man used New Cassel store clerk as a human shield during shooting

Police say Christian Romulus grabbed the store employee and used her to protect himself.

A man is facing attempted murder charges after police say he used a New Cassel store clerk as a human shield during a shooting Saturday night.
The gunfire broke out inside of AWAA Convenience during a fight on Prospect Avenue.
Police say Christian Romulus grabbed the store clerk and used her to protect himself.
She was not hurt.
Romulus and two others were shot.
Romulus was also charged with kidnapping.
A second man identified as Bryan Eric Toney faces multiple gun charges.
