Police say a young man has been arrested, and is accused of trying to hit his father with a car in Selden.

The incident happened on Maplewood Avenue a little before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the 22-year-old man threatened his father with a knife inside their home.

They then went outside and that's when police say the man drove a car at his dad and three other people. They were not hit, but News 12 was told the man drove the car into the house several times.

The unidentified man was taken to the hospital. He is facing numerous charges.
