Police say a man is recovering after getting hit by a car in Deer Park.

According to police, a man was driving south on Commack Road near Marcus Boulevard across from Tanger Outlets when the car hit another man in the road on Thursday night.

The victim, whose name has not yet been released, has serious injuries.

The driver of the car was not hurt.
