1h agoA pedestrian was hit by a car while crossing West Main Street Friday night in Riverhead, according to police.
Authorities say it happened just after 5 p.m. near the Greenview Inn. Officers responding to the scene found 29-year-old Bekim Zeqiri, of Westhampton Beach, lying in the road.
He was hospitalized with serious injuries, police say. The driver was also treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Authorities say no charges have been filed.
