2ds agoTwo police officers were assaulted early Wednesday in Island Park, officials say.
It happened when they responded to a call at the Plantation Motel at 3 a.m.
Police say James Becker punched an officer in the chin. When they tried to arrest him, police say he bit another officer on his arm.
An investigation found that Becker was responsible for two recent burglaries in Lido Beach.
