News 12 has been told the incident happened on Sunday night.
Police say a man was crossing Montauk Highway between Sterling Place and Gunther Place when he was struck by a car that didn't stop.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, but he's expected to be OK.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
