Police say a man grabbed a 14-year-old girl while she was walking home from school on Merrick Road in Bellmore Tuesday.

They say Christopher Christopheren, 44, screamed obscenities at the girl while she was walking home from John F. Kennedy High School and then grabbed onto her arm.

The girl was able to break free.

Police found Christopheren hours later walking near a CVS.

He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.
