Centereach residents say they are on edge after a man was caught on surveillance camera creeping up to porches to at least two homes in the middle of the night.
Suffolk police say they are investigating the two alleged criminal trespass incidents that occurred early Sunday morning on Joe's Way and Oak Street.
Greg Vadjinia says he heard his pit bull Daisy barking overnight, but he chalked it up to a bunch of overzealous raccoons raiding his garbage cans - until he and his wife investigated later in the day.

He said he went to turn the outside light on, but when it didn’t go on, he realized the bulb was unscrewed.
“My family doesn't feel safe. I have a wife, I have kids, I'm just thankful that I have a 100-pound pit bull, that if someone does break into my house, it’s going to be a mistake on their part,” says Vadjinia.
Not everyone wanted to go on camera, but neighbors up and down Oak Street told News 12 they also believe someone has been milling around their property.

Police pointed out that a man walking up to a front door is not necessarily a crime on its own, but residents say that fact won't make them sleep any easier at night.
