Police say a man arrested in East Meadow was involved in two armed robberies months ago.

Police pulled over Kyle Williams on Hempstead Turnpike and said he attempted to hide a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine in his pocket.

After a search, police say they also discovered a loaded semi-automatic pistol.

Further investigation revealed that Williams was involved in two armed robberies in Uniondale and Hempstead in December and January, according to authorities.

Williams is charged with multiple counts of robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
