Basheer Vinson, 28, is now charged with second-degree
murder.
Police say Vinson shot two men leaving a party at
2 a.m. on Patton Avenue.
Mark Birthwright Jr., 26, of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at the
scene.
The other man was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
