Police: Man arrested for riding dirt bike, fleeing from police in Central Islip

According to police, Elmer Turcious was riding a dirt bike on Wilson Boulevard Wednesday night.

A man is facing charges and is accused of driving recklessly and fleeing from police in Central Islip, officials say.

According to police, Elmer Turcious was riding a dirt bike on Wilson Boulevard Wednesday night which is against Suffolk County’s code.

When officers tried to stop him, they say he fled on the bike.

Police arrested Turcious at his home shortly after and seized the dirt bike.

The 24-year-old was issued an appearance ticket and will be arraigned on a later date.
