A man accused of attempting to burglarize a Jericho home and violating Nassau County’s mask law is facing charges, police say.
Officers were called to South Marginal Road at around 7:49 p.m. after a resident reported seeing a suspect with a black ski mask on her home surveillance camera.
Police say the homeowner observed the suspect enter her backyard and attempt to break in through a door.
The homeowner confronted the suspect, who then fled eastbound on South Marginal Road.
Police say they located 27-year-old David Li, of Manhattan, a short distance away from the scene.
Li is expected to be arraigned in court on Sunday, according to authorities.
