A man is accused of assaulting a teenager earlier this week in Hicksville.

Detectives say a 19-year-old was walking with his aunt and uncle on Woodcrest Road Tuesday when 53-year-old Richard Bauman began throwing food at the teen from his car.

Officials say Bauman then got out of his car and punched the victim in the face.

Bauman was arrested and charged with assault and aggravated harassment.
