Police say the man they arrested Tuesday for the shooting death of an acquaintance in front of a Rockville Centre community center in May may also be guilty of another murder.
Carl Perryman, of Rockville Centre, shot and killed David Baez after the two left a birthday party at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, police say. The party was for Perryman?s father.
Detective Lt. Michael Fleming, of the Nassau County Police Department, says the two men knew each other and had a long held animosity toward each other that blew up with the shooting on May 18.
Perryman was arraigned on Wednesday. Police say he may also be connected to the yet-unsolved murder of Mark Davis near the housing complex behind the same community center last June.
Fleming says now that Perryman is behind bars, he hopes those who have information about the Davis murder will feel more comfortable coming forward.
Nassau police are asking anyone with information about Davis? murder to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS
