A Lindenhurst man was arrested for allegedly driving drunk with two children in the car in Massapequa.

Police say Robert Spears hit a stopped vehicle at a traffic light on Hicksville Road and Williams Road around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police determined he was intoxicated and arrested him at the scene.

The two children in the car were released to a relative.

Spears is charged with driving while under the influence and violating Leandra’s Law.
