Police: Laurelton woman arrested for robbing Valley Stream restaurant and injuring employee

Police say 27-year-old Victoria Ogundipe walked into Kim Wong Chinese Kitchen on Merrick Road at around 8 p.m. Saturday, took a bag containing multiple food items and left without paying.

A Laurelton woman was arrested for injuring an employee who tried to stop her from robbing a restaurant Saturday in Valley Stream.
Police say 27-year-old Victoria Ogundipe walked into Kim Wong Chinese Kitchen on Merrick Road at around 8 p.m., took a bag containing multiple food items and left without paying.
Ogundipe repeatedly punched a 54-year-old employee who attempted to intervene, according to authorities. She is also accused of knocking him to the ground and choking him.
Police say the employee was rushed to a hospital and is expected to be OK.
