A Lakeview man is accused of injuring three police officers during two arrests in just two days.
Jair Dixon faced a judge this weekend on accusations of violating an order of protection and assaulting three police officers.
Dixon’s first arrest this weekend happened just before 9 p.m. Friday. Detectives say a domestic disturbance broke out at a home on Ronkonkoma Avenue.
Police say Dixon barricaded himself inside the home, refusing to allow officers inside the investigate.
When officers tried to place Dixon into custody, he resisted arrest and hurt an officer’s wrist in the process, police say.
Dixon was arraigned Saturday morning on assault and resisting arrest charges.
Prosecutors say after Dixon’s arraignment, he went back to Lakeview hours later, violated an order of protection and reentered the home of his sister.
Police say they attempted to rearrest Dixon, who “violently” resisted and injured two additional officers.
Dixon was arraigned again this morning on a number of charges, including two counts of assault.
All three officers are expected to be OK. Dixon is being held on $7,500 cash bail. His next court date is Tuesday.
