A Jersey City man is accused of using a sword to slash another man after an argument.

Authorities say officers were called to 11 Van Nostrand Ave. Thursday afternoon. They say that the incident started as an argument between 37-year-old Darryl Colbourne and a 24-year-old man that Colbourne knew.

Officials say that the argument turned physical. They say Colbourne used what was described as a samurai sword to slash the victim on the hand, chest, ear and head.

Colbourne was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and aggravated assault.
