Police are investigating a drowning in an East Meadow pool.
Authorities responded to a call about a drowning on School Street at around 2:30 p.m. today.
Police say a day laborer in his 30s went into the pool to cool off but apparently could not swim.
A fellow day laborer called 911.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
