Two people passing by called 911 around 3 a.m. after spotting the man outside Mary Carroll's Bar on Clinton Avenue off of Main Street.
Police say they found Edwin Rivera lying on the ground next to his 2015 Mercedes, which was facing the wrong way on a one-way street.
Rivera, 39, of Bay Shore, was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Rivera's death has been ruled criminal, and an autopsy will be performed.
Police say they towed both Rivera's car and another Honda parked nearby.
