Police have released the identity of the two people found shot inside a car in Centereach.

Police say 48-year-old Erick Horton and 48-year-old Stacey Rountree, both of Coram, were shot in the head.

Both Horton and Rountree were found Tuesday night on North Washington Avenue in Centereach. Horton died and Rountree remains in critical condition with life threatening injuries.

Detectives now believe Horton shot Rountree, before he turned the gun on himself.

Police have not released a motive.
