A Hicksville woman has been arrested after police say she stole money from her job to pay off her credit card.
Police say Elizabeth Stern did it over the span of a year and a half.
According to detectives, the 52-year-old used checks that were stolen from Superior Air Conditioning & Heating Systems Incorporated in Plainview worth more than $300,000.
Police say Stern also cashed checks worth another $38,000.
Stern is facing multiple charges and will face a judge.
