Three Hempstead residents were arrested for allegedly stealing a car from Oceanside.

Police say they received the call about the stolen car Friday.

They say they attempted to pull over Jamil Davis-Taylor, Shawn Harvey and a 17-year-old male, but all three jumped out of the car and fled.

The unoccupied car kept moving forward and crashed into a police vehicle.

Police were able to catch up to the suspects and arrested them.

They say the 17-year-old resisted arrest, and injured an officer.

That officer was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No other injuries were reported.

All three suspects are set to be arraigned later today.
