A Hampton Bays woman was seriously injured Monday when her car flipped on Sunrise Highway, police say.

Detectives tell News 12 that Hotleb Chumi hit a guardrail at Exit 58 eastbound in Shirley and then overturned at around 5:15 a.m.

Police have not said what caused the 25-year-old woman to crash.

Chumi is expected to survive.
