Moped-riding duo wanted for chain snatching spree

A 60-year-old man was taken into custody Saturday night for driving while intoxicated, according to the Southampton Town Police Department.

Police say Peter Krugman, from Hampton Bays, deviated from the roadway and struck a guide rail near Bay Avenue East and Lynn Avenue in Hampton Bays.

No one was hurt.

He is charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated and several other violations, police say.
