Police: Fire rips through home in Massapequa

According to police, officers responded to a home on Clearwater Avenue around 4 p.m. and found it fully engulfed in flames.

Police say a fire ripped through a home in Massapequa Sunday afternoon.
According to police, officers responded to a home on Clearwater Avenue around 4 p.m. and found it fully engulfed in flames.
Everyone inside the home was evacuated.
The Massapequa Fire Department responded and had help from Seaford, Amityville, Wantagh and South Farmingdale departments as well.
The fire caused severe damage to the home and severe smoke also damaged two neighboring houses.
The cause of the fire is unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
