Police: Father struck by car while pushing 10-month-old son in stroller

The father suffered injuries not considered to be life-threatening and was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip.

A father pushing his 10-month-old son in a stroller was struck by vehicle in Islip on Halloween evening, police say.
Officers responded to the crash in front of 270 Grant Ave. at around 6:30 p.m.
The father suffered injuries not considered to be life-threatening and was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip.
The child was not struck but was also transported to the hospital for evaluation.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident.
