A Farmingville man was arrested Wednesday for a violent armed robbery that happened at a Flanders deli in September, police say.
They say 22-year-old Demario West hit an employee at El Quetzal Deli with a gun multiple times before fleeing with $6,000.
When police searched West's home, they say they found an illegal gun and drugs in the presence of a child who was living there.
Police also arrested 24-year-old Tiana Macdonald while they completed a search warrant at the home.
Both are being held at Southampton Town Police Department and face drug and weapons charges, as well as endangering the welfare of a child.
