Police: West Babylon man arrested after fleeing fatal crash in Amagansett

East Hampton police say they have arrested Mark A. Corrado Jr., of West Babylon, for leaving the scene of an incident that killed a 36-year-old mother who was pushing her kids in a stroller.

A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Amagansett Wednesday.
East Hampton police say they have arrested Mark A. Corrado Jr., of West Babylon, for leaving the scene of an incident that killed a 36-year-old mother who was pushing her kids in a stroller.
Authorities say Corrado Jr. was driving on Montauk Highway near Bunker Hill Road around 11:45 a.m. when he struck Yuris Murillo Cruz, who was with her 1-year-old and 4-year-old children. They say he did not stop and drove east before abandoning his pickup truck in a wooded area.
Police later found the vehicle in a wooded area.
Corrado Jr. later surrendered to East Hampton detectives, police say. He was charged with leaving the scene of an incident without reporting, which is a felony.
Authorities have not released information about the conditions of the young children.
