A man lost control of his pickup truck and crashed into a home in Copiague on Monday, Suffolk County police say.
The 41-year-old driver lost control of a 2005 Dodge pickup truck on Dolphin Lane, striking a fire hydrant and bush before hitting the home at around 4 p.m.
The driver suffered lacerations to his face and was transported to a hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
A man inside the home at the time of the crash and a passenger inside the truck were also not injured.
News 12 spoke with a neighbor who says he heard the crash and called 911.
"I heard 'Boom' and that's when I ran out front and I saw the water was squirting out of the...fire hydrant and then I turned right and I seen the truck that's inside the house." said Tony Prisco.
Prisco said he was shocked to see that a truck crashed into his neighbor's home.
"I ran out to the guy, he was all bloody all over the face, I got him a napkin, I wet the cold rag and out it on his face and then called 911."
According to a representative with the Town of Babylon, the town's building inspector is investigating to make sure the home is structurally sound.
Suffolk police tell News 12 that at this time, no charges have been filed against the driver of the truck.
