A Dix Hills man convicted of killing his uncle was sentenced Monday to 25 years to life in prison.
Prosecutors say David Cahoon killed the 70-year-old so he could steal $1,800 from him.
Police found the victim, William Cahoon’s body, inside his Levittown home nearly a month later in 2018.
Employees at The Milleridge Inn called 911 to check on him because he was a regular customer.
