Police say a delivery driver has died after being struck in Southampton.

According to police, a 63-year-old man from Pennsylvania was hit and killed on County Road 39 around 2:30 a.m. by an unknown car.

The investigation closed the road in both directions between Shrubland Road and Tuckahoe Road.

Police say the man was not a pedestrian, but a deliveryman who had gotten out of his vehicle and was hit. 

Right now, there is no word on any arrests. Anyone with information is asked to call police at at 631-702-2230.
