2ds agoA Central Islip man was arrested on Friday afternoon for robbing two Suffolk County banks last month, according to police.
Authorities say Andre Desvignes, 56, robbed a Bank of America in Central Islip on Aug. 13 and a TD Bank in Bay Shore on Aug. 22.
He was apprehended following a traffic stop on Lowell Avenue and Clayton Street.
Police say he is scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday.
