Police: Woman robbed by man riding bicycle

A Bronx smoke shop employee was arrested and charged Friday in the fatal shooting of a would-be robber, police say.

Investigators say Fares Alhazmi, 26, fatally shot Romel Carey, 23, in the head Nov. 8 when Carey tried robbing the smoke shop Alhazmi worked in on East Tremont Avenue.

Alhazmi was charged with criminal possession of a firearm.

No other information has been revealed at this time.
