Police say a bicyclist fatally struck a parked tractor-trailer on the Long Island Expressway service road Saturday morning in Syosset.

Detectives say the man was traveling east on the South Service Road/Marginal Road between exits 43 and 44 around 9 a.m. when he struck the legally parked trailer.

The 51-year-old man, who had not been identified as of Saturday evening, was pronounced dead the scene.

Police say there is no criminality involved.
