Police have arrested a Bay Shore man who is accused of striking two pedestrians with his vehicle and fleeing the scene.

Police have arrested a Bay Shore man who is accused of striking two pedestrians with his vehicle and fleeing the scene.
Police say Emerson Alvarado hit the men on Feb. 3. Surveillance video captured Victor Gonzalez Arevalo and Dany Ibarra Martinez, both of Brentwood, being hit as they crossed Fairtown Road and Fifth Avenue.
Arevalo suffered life-threatening injuries, but police say he's now in stable condition.
Martinez suffered a foot injury.
Alvarado was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury.
