A homeless man was arrested Thursday after police say he exposed himself to a woman in Islip.
The victim said she was walking home at 9:30 a.m. when she noticed a car idling on her block. She says the man in the car asked her for directions, and when she turned to answer him she noticed he was masturbating. The victim then looked at the car's license plate and called police.
Police say they found 38-year-old Anthony Vasquez sleeping in his gray Hyundai a short time later. Police say he is a homeless man from Lindenhurst with prior arrests for petty larceny and drug possession. Vasquez was arrested and charged with public lewdness.
