A 70-year-old man from Wading River was fatally struck by a car on Saturday morning, according to authorities.
Officers responded to the crash on Sound Avenue just after 6 a.m.
Police say a 2024 Hyundai at the scene hit a male pedestrian later identified as Douglas Sutherland.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
