Four people were injured when an ambulance overturned in a Centereach crash on Tuesday, police say.

Suffolk County police say a Stony Brook Hospital ambulance transporting a patient was going through the intersection of Nicolls Road and Nesconset Highway when it was hit by a sedan.

Two ambulance employees, the patient and the driver of the sedan were taken to the hospital for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
