Three people, including an officer, were injured in a tractor-trailer crash early Tuesday on the Long Island Expressway, police say.
Police say the tractor-trailer hit a car near Exit 40E at around 1:30 a.m.
A female passenger in the tractor-trailer became trapped inside and had to be pulled out by police.
An officer cut his head while removing her and was taken to the hospital.
The female passenger of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital for neck pain.
