Police say three men were injured when someone fired a shotgun into a crowd Monday evening in Southampton.
According to police, calls of shots being fired were received in the area of Hillcrest Avenue just before 6 p.m.
Police say three males were reported as being injured by several blasts from a shotgun that was discharged from a vehicle into a crowd of people who were standing in the roadway.
The victims were transported to the hospital, where one remains in the intensive care unit.
Detectives are working to determine whether the victims were targeted. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Southampton Police Department at 631-283-0056.
