Police are searching for the suspect who shot and killed three people in Wyandanch while they were sitting in an SUV.
The shooting occurred in front of 46 Davidson St. at around 11:50 p.m.
Police say three victims, identified as William Madrey, 25, Stephanie Almedian Rivera, 23, and Ciara Smith, 23, were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth woman, who police are not identifying, survived her gunshot wounds.
Madrey lived in the home on Davidson Street. The people inside the home refused to speak to News 12. Police say Madrey had previously admitted to being part of the Bloods street gang.
Detective Lt. Kevin Beyrer called the investigation "very active" and said police are looking into a possible gang connection to the shooting.
The president of the Wyandanch community's neighborhood watch told News 12 that the home was known for drug activity.
At a meeting Thursday night, Suffolk police said they have increased patrols in the neighborhood since the shooting, and officers have gone door to door in an effort to speak to concerned residents.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
