A motorcyclist from Huntington was killed after crashing into a car Friday on Jericho Turnpike in Elwood, according to police.

Authorities say Alexis Ascencio Luna, 21, was heading eastbound on his motorcycle at around 3:40 p.m. when he hit a Toyota making a left turn into a driveway.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Toyota was hospitalized.

Police say the driver has since been released.
