Police: 2 teens killed in Southern State Parkway crash

Three other occupants were taken to the hospital for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

Two teenagers were killed in crash on the Southern State Parkway early Thursday, police say.
It happened at around 2 a.m. when troopers responded to the scene at Exit 43A in the Town of Islip.
Troopers observed observed a Toyota Prius overturned.
Oliver Charles, 18, of Deer Park, and Dymond A. Saunders, 17, of West Babylon, were both pronounced dead by paramedics on scene.
Three other occupants were taken to the hospital for injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
