A person on a motorcycle struck a 12-year-old on a bicycle and drove off Sunday afternoon in Medford, police say.

According to Suffolk police, the child was riding his bike westbound on Express Drive North near Horseblock Road when he was struck just before 1 p.m.

The child was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with minor injuries.

A description of the motorcycle was not immediately available.
