Police: 10 people arrested for trespassing on LIRR tracks in Riverhead

There have been 60 people hit by trains in Suffolk County since 2020, police say.

Ten people are facing charges for trespassing on the Long Island Rail Road tracks in Riverhead.
Riverhead police say the town and MTA police conducted extra patrols in response to pedestrian strikes.
There have been 60 people hit by trains in Suffolk County since 2020, police say.
The 10 people were arrested on March 5. News 12 is being told that the new crackdown will continue.
