A Queens man is facing weapons charges after an unidentified suspect fired shots at the Americana shopping center in Manhasset, police say.
Police tell News 12 that the incident stemmed from an argument.
News 12 is told that Yuri Oluh, 22, got into a fight with another man in front of the Tiffany store on Northern Boulevard.
Police say the unidentified man then took out a gun and opened fire. Gang Squad detectives say Oluh was the gunman's intended target.
No one was hurt, but people nearby say it was "terrifying and scary."
"It was just moments of panic and making sure everybody was safe," said Jasmin Yeroushalm, of Great Neck.
Police say Oluh was spotted a short time later with a loaded silver handgun. They say none of the bullets struck him.
He is facing weapons charges and is being held on $50,000 bail.
Officials say they are still looking for the other armed suspect.
Anyone with information about the incident can call 911 or Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
