Police say an Island Park woman was arrested for DWI following a crash in Oceanside on Thursday night.

According to police, officers responded to an accident at the intersection of Bower Avenue and Moreland Avenue around 10:10 p.m.

Upon police arrival, it was determined that a 2007 white Chevrolet Avalanche struck a utility pole, causing a hazardous condition with wires down.

During the investigation, police say officers determined the operator was intoxicated.

Danielle Drexler, 31, was placed under arrest without further incident, and was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Drexler is charged with DWI and driving while ability impaired.
