A plan to bring three new charter schools to Suffolk County is moving forward again.

A SUNY panel approved charter's plans to open an elementary and middle school in Brentwood -- and a high school in Central Islip.

The proposal now heads back to the state board of regents which rejected academy's plan last month -- citing community opposition.

The Brentwood and Central Islip school districts have spoken out against the plan.

Brentwood's superintendent has said it would cost the district $100 million in funding.
